Working Horses Experience

Immerse yourself in the historical tradition of horse drawn agriculture and join us at Hatfield Park for our Working Horses Experience. Under the supervision of expert handlers, learn how to interact and work with these magnificent animals, extracting timber from the woodland in a sustainable yet historic way.

ON THE DAY:

Your morning or afternoon session will include:
• Meeting & learning how to interact with working horses.
• A demonstration of traditional grooming and equine care.
• Practicing traditional reining techniques.
• Exploration of the beautiful woodland and parkland of Hatfield Park.
• Lunch served in a luxury hamper including cream tea, locally sourced produce and a glass of champagne.

TIMINGS OF THE DAY:

10am – 12pm: Interaction and demonstration
12pm – 1pm: Cream Tea Lunch with champagne
1pm – 3pm: Reining & Exploration

PARKING:

Parking is free, please enter via George’s Gate AL9 5HX

PEDESTRIANS:

Pedestrians will be able to enter on foot or via public transport through our Fore Street Gate, please first approach the gate opposite Hatfield Train Station, here they will be able to direct you to our Fore Street Gate.
